Healthcare is a right, not merely a privilege!

Those who show compassion towards fellow human beings are serving God. At AIM Foundation we strongly believe that access to healthcare should be considered a fundamental right, not a privilege.

Since its inception, AIM Foundation has consistently placed healthcare as a paramount concern, whether it's in the Sundarbans to the south or the Gorumara Forest to the north. We persistently strive to meet the health requirements of underprivileged individuals residing in urban slums, remote rural regions, and areas affected by natural disasters.

AIM Foundation is committed to making a positive impact on communities through its regular healthcare camps, extending a helping hand to those in urban slums, remote rural areas, and disaster-prone regions.

Conducting routine health camps and distributing free medication to the residents of Sundarbans and Gorumara forest, where access to a registered doctor is a luxury for many villagers, has posed one of our most significant challenges.

Our team begins their day early in the morning to reach the remote islands of the Sundarbans. After a nearly three-hour journey to Gadkhali or Dhamakhali Ferry Ghat, they proceed to various isolated islands of the Sundarbans by boat. There, health camps are established either in schools, under makeshift shelters, or sometimes along the riverbanks. Despite the long and challenging journey, as well as nearly 24 hours of continuous duty, the spirit of the AIM Foundation warriors remains unwavering.

In a significant collaboration with Bhagirathi Neotia Woman and Child Care Centre, health camps are organized at the Kolkata activity centres located at Sarala Punyashram, Sarat Bose Road, Boral Natunhat providing accessible healthcare services to a diverse population.

One notable initiative by AIM Foundation includes eye camps in partnership with Sushrut Eye Foundation, addressing vision-related concerns in the communities served. Notably, our foundation goes a step further by offering free cataract operations, ensuring that individuals in need receive essential medical interventions without financial barriers. These collective efforts exemplify AIM Foundation's dedication to promoting health equity and improving the well-being of marginalized populations.

AIM Foundation's impactful collaboration with various hospitals is evident in its commitment to providing free healthcare services to the marginalized sections of society. A noteworthy aspect of their initiative is offering free operations to children aged between 5 months to 14 years, subject to meeting specific financial criteria. This targeted approach ensures that young individuals receive necessary medical interventions without financial constraints.

Furthermore, AIM extends its generosity to all age groups by providing free-of-cost operations such as knee replacements, surgeries, and kidney transplants for economically weaker individuals.

This inclusive healthcare approach underscores the foundation's dedication to addressing a wide range of medical needs, promoting health equity, and making a meaningful impact on the well-being of the economically disadvantaged.

Pediatric and general health camps are arranged specifically for the children of sex workers residing in Rambagan and Sonagachi.

Positive initiatives often stem from a brilliant idea and a strong commitment to serve. Dr. Piyali Bhaduri, associated with AIM Foundation, is leading the effort to raise awareness about cervical health and provide cervical cancer screenings. This collaboration involves Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute and Government of West Bengal. The enthusiastic participation of women from remote villages is truly heart-warming.

We are actively engaged in raising cervical awareness among ASHA and ANGANWADI workers. Our initiative involves sensitizing them district by district, with the aim of covering the entirety of West Bengal. We have initiated this program in Howrah district as a starting point.

AIM Foundation is working with 1,250 underprivileged adolescent girls in and around Kolkata. We offer cervical cancer and menstrual health awareness workshops for adolescent girls. Additionally, we provide monthly sanitary napkins for them.
